Summary:
Performs in a lobby role supporting customer needs in both teller and deposit account responsibilities.
Provides secure, accurate, responsive, and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers at all times.
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and banking relationships.
Primary objective of this position is to be a trusted advisor to every internal and external customer.
Inspires confidence and builds lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisor skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Open deposit accounts and perform appropriate maintenance to existing accounts.
Process teller transactions with accuracy, confidentiality and timeliness.
Utilize Trusted Advisor skills to greet customers, discover needs to make appropriate recommendations along with introductions to experts within other business lines.
Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers in person and over the phone.
Perform the set-up and maintenance of safe deposit boxes; assisting with safe deposit audits and reviewing the past-due report, taking appropriate actions to notify customers.
Other Job Functions:
Maintain working knowledge of online banking and debit card set-up, maintenance, and other related functions.
Maintain working knowledge and functionality of all departments interfacing with customers in order to best serve their needs.
Provide additional customer research, notary services, wire transfers and other requests.
Assist with branch audits as requested.
Support and process fraudulent check card claims/disputes.
Follow up with new and recent customers to ensure satisfaction and completion of service requests.
Other duties as requested by their supervisor or other management representatives of the bank.
Job Requirements Qualification Requirements:
College experience preferred; High School diploma or GED required Previous customer sales and service experience Basic computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel.
Good oral and written communication skills Ability to maintain customer confidentiality Knowledge of basic math calculations Ability to read and understand regulations, policies and procedures; uses grammatically correct and clear oral and written communication Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work well within team environment presenting a positive customer service demeanor and attitude Must comply with all bank policies and procedures that are job related and/or consistent with business necessity General Physical Demands and Workplace Conditions:
Must be able to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects within the immediate work station.
Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions:
Atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation; Changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
Other physical attributes required to successfully perform the essential functions above include finger agility, talking, and listening.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
