Job Summary

Operate and maintain CNC equipment while producing parts to satisfy production schedules. Demonstrate commitment to all safety & quality policies, programs and initiatives. Support leads and management in their overall goals and improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs dimensional inspection of product as required

  • Monitors and changes cutting tools (inserts) as needed

  • Loads and unloads products

  • Aware at all times of correct orientation of product being placed in machinery

  • ?Enters commands to title and store programs in computer memory and build and maintain source files

  • Adjust feed rate and speed, utilizing knowledge of numerical-control machine operation

  • Enters computer commands to retrieve stored parts data and programs

  • Reviews shop orders and drawings to determine job specifications and requirements

  • Calculates and codes machine controlling criteria, such as axis movement, type and size of cutting and drilling tools, spindle location, machining start

  • Utilize resources to perform CNC functions in a safe manner at all times

  • Perform any additional duties that are assigned by the Manager/Supervisor


  • Knowledge and skill set to set-up and run CNC equipment

  • ?Ability to foresee changes relevant to area of responsibility

  • ?Ability to organize work assignments to ensure efficient operations of CNC machining environment

  • ?Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective

  • ?Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

  • ?Able to read fabrication drawings/blueprints and familiar with measuring for accuracy with tape measure and calipers

  • ?Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

  • ?Able to write and do basic math

  • ?Basic computer skills or willing to learning

  • ?Must be able to work well with others

  • Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours

  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • Push and pull up to 50 lbs

  • Requires constant reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting

  • Temperatures are consistent with same outdoor?climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)

  • Must wear all required safety Personal Protective Equipment
