Rehab Therapy Tech IV - Spanish Interpreter

Whether in a direct-care or support role, your contribution will make a difference in the life of a Texan.Works Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm The Rehab Therapy Tech IV performs moderately complex (journey-level) habilitative and rehabilitative therapy work. Work involves providing habilitative and rehabilitative services for clients with mental impairments May train others. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Instructs clients in therapeutic activities and provides feedback regarding clients' progress. Prepares materials for therapeutic activities and maintains Rehabilitative Therapies equipment. Writes progress notes of observations related to client objectives. Plans special activities according to the patient's needs. Performs related work as assigned. Essential Job Functions:
1.Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. 2.Serves as a role model while conducting activities and engaging with patients in order to provide therapeutic interventions as prescribed by the treatment team. Translates spoken or written statements between English and Spanish 3.Compiles reports and documentation of patient progress to record information in order to improve quality of service delivery. Documentation includes progress notes, treatment team sheets, weekly planners, and goal progress sheets. 4.May serve as a treatment team representative and/or translator 5.Coordinates group activities and may supervise program areas 6.Prepares materials for therapeutic activities, orders supplies, and oversees the maintenance of program areas and rehabilitation services equipment. Maintains work area and completes housekeeping specific to assigned area in order to provide a clean, safe, and pleasant environment 7.Escorts patients to and from hospital activities and functions 8.Will perform CPR, TIPS techniques correctly and safely, according to specifications taught in staff training. (PRN) 9.Other duties as assigned include, but not limited to, actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery of continuity of operations (COOP) activation; Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or alternate locations. Knowledge Skills Abilities:
1.Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent 2.Fluently bilingual in English and Spanish 3.Ability to listen, understand, and translate spoken or written statements between English and Spanish 4.Experience working with individuals with psychiatric illness and/or other special needs5.Understanding and compliance with hospital policies and procedures 6.Ability to plan work activities, to understand and carry out instructions, to maintain records, to prepare concise reports and to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form 7.General computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook Registration or Licensure Requirements:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
