MIG Welder (Industrial Manufacturing / Production / Warehouse)

The MIG welder uses MIG (metal inert gas) welding equipment to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production. This position operates the equipment in a safe manner and reports hazards associated with the equipment or its operation.

Job Description:

  • Ability to safely operate, set up, and adjusts MIG welding equipment and operate simple hand and power tools.

  • Ability to weld vertical or flat welds with acceptable quality consistently.

  • Ability to weld the following and any combinations of the following:



  • Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, climb, squat, and weld in awkward positions for prolonged periods.

  • Ability to work levers, buttons, and/or foot pedals

  • Ability to use simple gauges and other instruments

We are looking for Welders with the expertise and professionalism to perform exceptionally well, and with minimal guidance in any given manufacturing situation. You must also display excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management at all levels of the organization.
Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • High school diploma or GED; preferred

  • Weld School certified in MIG welding a plus.

  • Prior welding experience a plus

  • Needs to be able to weld sheet metal, wire, and steel.

  • Experience in one or more of these types of welding:

  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick welding)

  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (Mig)

  • Flux Cored Arc Welding

  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (Tig)

  • Must be able to read a tape measure and blue prints

  • Must be familiar with use of Hand Tools

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and E-Verify

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
